Shipyard
Grand Bahama Shipyard
Duration
25 days
Enchantment of the Seas underwent a scheduled dry dock at Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport between its May-June 2024 passenger programs. The project was primarily a maintenance and refresh dry dock rather than a major fleet modernization. Work focused on scheduled technical and marine maintenance, regulatory and classification requirements, underwater-hull servicing and general upkeep, along with cleaning, painting, repairs and refurbishment of passenger accommodations and public areas. The ship returned to passenger service in June without a publicly announced major venue conversion or new attraction.

Shipyard
Keppel Verolme Shipyard
Duration
40 days
Enchantment of the Seas underwent an approximately $55 million lengthening at Keppel Verolme in Rotterdam. The ship was cut in two and a prefabricated 73-foot midsection inserted, adding 151 staterooms and increasing passenger capacity. The enlarged pool deck gained two 75-foot suspension bridges connecting overhanging platforms, including an island bar with glass viewing panels in the floor. Four bungee trampolines were installed above the bow, while the new Splash Deck featured interactive water jets that became an illuminated fountain at night. The project also introduced Boleros Latin Lounge, expanded dining and youth facilities and extensive interior renovations.
