MSC Poesia entered Palumbo Malta Shipyard on February 26, 2026 for a major refurbishment ahead of its first Alaska season. The project introduced MSC Yacht Club with 69 suites and dedicated private amenities, along with Butcher's Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar.
The refurbishment also included substantial wellness and fitness improvements, with redesigned spa and gym facilities and additional upgraded passenger spaces. The project represented the second major Musica-class refurbishment at the Maltese shipyard following the transformation of MSC Magnifica.
