Norwegian Sky underwent a seven-day dry dock and refurbishment at Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas, as part of Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Edge fleet enhancement program. Technical work included ultrasonic thickness measurements of pool structures, replacement of galley equipment, and overhaul of the controllable-pitch propeller and thruster systems with support from Rolls-Royce. The shipyard also provided extensive scaffolding for interior renovation projects and upgrades to selected public areas. The refurbishment included technical and guest-facing improvements rather than a complete shipwide renovation.
