The project included overhauls of the Azipod propulsion system, bow thrusters and stabilizers, electrical-system work, classification inspections and general technical and hotel maintenance. The hull and superstructure were completely repainted, and exterior windows were replaced.

Passenger-area improvements included the addition of Izumi, Giovanni's Table, Vintages wine bar, Royal Babies & Tots Nursery, an outdoor movie screen, shipwide VOOM internet and digital signage, along with new and refurbished passenger accommodations and updates to Chops Grille, the spa and retail areas. Technical work included Azipod overhauls, major tank conversions, general repairs and installation of an exhaust-gas scrubber system.
