Disney Dry Dock Schedule 2026-2027
The Disney Cruise Line's Dry Dock Schedule includes all current Disney ships, with details on upcoming scheduled dry docks as well as those recently completed. Cruise lines typically plan routine dry docks up to two years in advance to minimize the need to cancel or modify itineraries after bookings open. However, schedule changes are not uncommon. Unplanned events, such as significant mechanical issues, can require adjustments to the schedule, often creating a cascading effect, resulting in itinerary changes or even cancellations for two or more ships.
While sailing on a freshly refurbished ship straight out of dry dock can be a wonderful experience, a last-minute cruise cancellation due to an extended dry dock period can be deeply disappointing. We recommend keeping this possibility in mind when planning your cruise.

Meyer Group began the physical transformation of the unfinished Global Dream for Disney Cruise Line at Wismar in August 2023. The project completed the partially built vessel while extensively redesigning it as Disney Adventure.
The technical conversion included modifications intended to facilitate operation on methanol, including engine transformation, additional tanks and modernization of the waste-management system. The exterior was converted to Disney Cruise Line styling with four funnels, yellow lifeboats and Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse stern figures.
Passenger areas were redesigned around seven themed districts: Disney Imagination Garden, Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing and Toy Story Place. Major attractions installed during completion included the Ironcycle Test Run coaster and Groot Galaxy Spin. The ship floated out at Wismar on April 19, 2025, underwent final outfitting, and was legally handed over to Disney Cruise Line in Bremerhaven on December 13, 2025.
Disney Dream underwent a major 28-day refit at Damen Shiprepair Brest. The technical scope included sustainability upgrades, major mechanical work, maintenance of lifesaving equipment, complete hull blasting and repainting with a low-friction, biocide-free silicone coating, and upgrades to propulsion and maneuvering systems.
Passenger-facing work included construction of the nearly 200-square-meter, two-level Dream Tower Suite inside the forward funnel. The suite was themed to Fantasia and Sorcerer Mickey. An expanded Concierge Lounge inspired by Hercules and Mount Olympus was added, while the spa received a refreshed reception area and additional treatment rooms.
Donald's Cantina was added to the Deck 11 quick-service dining area. Edge moved to Deck 5 and gained a lounge, dance floor and access to an outdoor recreation deck shared with Vibe. Disney's Oceaneer Club also received a new Marvel-themed experience. Damen reported that the project required approximately 1,000 twenty-foot containers of material and as many as seven cranes operating simultaneously.
Disney Fantasy underwent an extensive technical and passenger-area refit at Damen Shiprepair Brest following its 2025 European season. The principal efficiency project was replacement of the ship's bulbous bow with a newly fabricated, hydrodynamically optimized structure. Damen also completely blasted the hull and applied a biocide-free, low-friction silicone coating, upgraded propulsion and maneuvering systems, and performed class inspections, maintenance and other technical work.
Passenger-facing changes included a two-level, approximately 2,030-square-foot Fantasy Tower Suite inside the forward funnel, themed to Fantasia and Sorcerer Mickey. A Hercules-inspired Concierge Lounge was introduced, Ramone's Cantina joined the pool-deck dining options, Edge moved to Deck 5, and treatment and thermal facilities in Senses Spa were refurbished. Quiet Cove Pool and its whirlpool were refurbished, and extensive carpet, tile and marble replacement was carried out in guest areas.
The ship returned to passenger service with a westbound transatlantic sailing from Southampton on November 3, 2025.
Disney Magic completed a scheduled two-week dry dock at Seaspan Victoria Shipyards in the federally owned Esquimalt Graving Dock. Reported work consisted of technical maintenance, routine upkeep and cosmetic refreshing ahead of the ship's inaugural Alaska season. No reliable public source documented a major redesign or named new passenger venue.
Disney Wish is scheduled for its first planned dry dock from May 8 through May 22, 2027, between the conclusion of a 13-night eastbound transatlantic voyage in Barcelona and the start of the ship's inaugural European passenger season.
The 15-day operational window ends with a seven-night Mediterranean cruise departing Barcelona on May 22. Disney has not announced the shipyard, geographic dry-dock location or detailed technical and passenger-area scope.
Approximately two weeks in dry dock; three-week operational gap
Disney Wonder arrived at the Esquimalt Graving Dock in Victoria on August 17, 2026, for a scheduled dry-dock and maintenance project during a pause in its Alaska season. The reported scope consists of classification inspections, technical maintenance, general upkeep and refurbishment work. No reliable source had identified major new venues or a substantial passenger-space redesign by the research date.
The ship is scheduled to welcome passengers back in Vancouver on September 7, 2026, for a seven-night Alaska cruise.
Disney Wonder underwent a short scheduled dry dock at Seaspan Victoria Shipyards following its 2023 Alaska season and before repositioning across the Pacific for its first Australia and New Zealand deployment. Publicly documented changes were limited, although minor modifications were observed in the Shutters retail area and the French Quarter Lounge. The available authoritative reporting does not support claims of a major passenger-space refurbishment.
