Meyer Group began the physical transformation of the unfinished Global Dream for Disney Cruise Line at Wismar in August 2023. The project completed the partially built vessel while extensively redesigning it as Disney Adventure.
The technical conversion included modifications intended to facilitate operation on methanol, including engine transformation, additional tanks and modernization of the waste-management system. The exterior was converted to Disney Cruise Line styling with four funnels, yellow lifeboats and Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse stern figures.
Passenger areas were redesigned around seven themed districts: Disney Imagination Garden, Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing and Toy Story Place. Major attractions installed during completion included the Ironcycle Test Run coaster and Groot Galaxy Spin. The ship floated out at Wismar on April 19, 2025, underwent final outfitting, and was legally handed over to Disney Cruise Line in Bremerhaven on December 13, 2025.
