Be aware military ships are not required to use the AIS tracking system which is what all online ship tracking uses to locate ships. Almost all military vessels have AIS equipment onboard and most typically use it outside of wartime conditions, especially when operating near civilian ships for safety reasons, but it is not required. With this in mind, military ships can have extended periods of time between AIS reports, rest assured the next time an AIS report is received from that ship its location is automatically updated.
