Hi iam lizzie, Cruised on the emerald princess recently absolutely loved it but when was she last had a make over thanks

Emerald Princess finished a short 3 week dry dock just recently on April 29, 2025 in Palermo, Italy. There were not a lot of major changes that we know of, the majority of it was "routine maintenance".

Some of the changes occurring during this most recent dry dock:

1. Wheelhouse Bar changed to O'Malley's Irish Pub and Sports Bar (Deck 7). Live Irish music can be found here at different times.
2. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) associated upgrades for cabins and public spaces.
3. New carpeting throughout many areas of the ship.
4. Buffet was remodeled.
5. General maintenance and upkeep.
6. Superstructure, engine and propulsion systems upgrades and repairs including hull blasting (cleaning & painting), thruster and stabilizer overhauls, scrubber work, steel repairs and the installation of new air lubrication and membrane bioreactor systems.

It sounds like the Emerald Princess came out of dry dock in really good shape, even if most of the work was focused on maintenance rather than major renovations. The addition of O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Sports Bar is a nice touch, and the buffet remodel and new carpeting should make the passenger areas feel noticeably fresher. The upgrades to the propulsion, hull, thrusters, stabilizers, and environmental systems are also important improvements that may not be as visible but should benefit the ship in the long run.
