Recently Completed Dry Dock

Valiant Lady completed its first scheduled dry dock at Fincantieri Palermo from May 9 through May 25, 2026. Virgin Voyages characterized the project as a full-ship, head-to-toe refresh rather than a single-venue update.
The principal dining change was Ariya by Razzle Dazzle, a modern Indian restaurant developed with chef and cookbook author Maneet Chauhan and Indie Culinaire. The jewelry-box-inspired venue incorporated spice-market colors, communal dining areas, a dedicated bar, chai service, kababs, dips, saffron-accented dishes, vegetarian selections and spice-influenced cocktails. Grounds Club Too was upgraded to transition from a daytime coffee venue into a full-service evening bar.
The Athletic Club received shaded daybed clusters and revised lounge seating. The Dock gained an improved performance stage and windscreen, while the Roundabout was refurnished and reorganized into more intimate seating groups. The Virgin Voyages brand shop was relocated and expanded, and retail areas were refreshed with new pop-up spaces.
Entertainment and nightlife changes included an expanded dance floor in The Manor and a substantial redesign of On the Rocks, where dividing walls were removed, seating was added and the stage was relocated to improve sightlines. New game shows, trivia formats, tournaments, craft activities and poolside programming were also introduced.
Additional passenger-area work included new pool steps and railings, renovations in Redemption Spa, new casino machines, updated seating at Lick Me Till Ice Cream, and redesigned Shore Things and future-voyage sales areas. Selected cabin work included carpet and marble replacement and upgrades to approximately 1,400 electrical outlets.
The exterior program included renewal of the ship’s mermaid artwork and a full repaint. Virgin Voyages’ dry-dock presentation described cleaning approximately 22,000 square meters of hull surface back to bare metal, applying more than 15,000 liters of paint and installing a silicone-based underwater coating intended to reduce resistance through the water. The technical program included five-year azipod maintenance, work on thrusters and stabilizers, lifeboat restoration, anchor and machinery maintenance and classification inspections.
