Oceanus was a research ship previously operated by Oregon State University. Oceanus was built by Peterson Builders in Wisconsin. The ship had an active service life of 46 years.
The R/V Oceanus served the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University and the broader oceanographic community well from 2012 until its final research cruise on November 21, 2021.
