INS Mumbai Military Ship Details

The Delhi class consists of three Project 15 guided-missile destroyers designed and built in India for the Indian Navy by Mazagon Dock Limited. Commissioned between 1997 and 2001, the 163-meter ships combine Indian, Russian, and Western technology and use COGAG gas-turbine propulsion for speeds exceeding 30 knots. The class provides multi-role surface warfare, fleet air defense, and anti-submarine capabilities with weapons including BrahMos anti-ship and land-attack missiles, Shtil and Barak surface-to-air missiles, torpedoes, RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launchers, and close-in weapon systems. A large flight deck and dual hangar support two Sea King helicopters, while mid-life modernization has introduced upgraded sensors, electronic warfare systems, and weapons.
