On one cruise, I showed up to dinner and got seated at a big table where everyone already knew each other… and it was painfully awkward trying to join the conversation.


Made me realize how hit-or-miss the social side of cruising can be—sometimes you meet amazing people, other times it just doesn’t click.

Oh I’ve definitely been there, sitting down and realizing you just walked into someone else’s inside jokes. But I’ve also had nights where total strangers ended up being the highlight of the trip, so it really is a roll of the dice.
