• International Itineraries: Cruises beginning and ending in different countries and many international itineraries require passports. Visa, passport-validity, and entry requirements vary by destination, so verify the requirements for every guest well before departure.
• Reservation Name: Make sure the name on your reservation matches the identification you will use to travel. Carry supporting legal documentation when necessary for a recent name change.
• Navigator App: Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before traveling. It becomes the primary planning and information tool both before your cruise and once onboard.
• Booking Windows: Port Adventures, premium dining, spa treatments, nursery time, and other limited-capacity experiences may be reserved before sailing once your applicable booking window opens and your cruise is paid in full.
• Popular Reservations: High-demand Port Adventures, cabanas, premium dining, nursery appointments, spa services, and select character experiences can fill quickly. Know your booking date and make priority reservations when your window opens.
• Travel Insurance: Consider travel insurance that covers the risks important to your trip, including cancellation, interruption, medical treatment, emergency transportation, and baggage. Compare coverage and exclusions rather than relying only on the policy price.
• Carry-On Essentials: Keep passports and other travel documents, medications, valuables, electronics, swimwear, and anything needed immediately after boarding in your carry-on luggage because checked bags may not reach your stateroom until later.
• Know Your Ship: Restaurants, entertainment, water attractions, adult spaces, youth venues, and other experiences vary significantly across the Disney fleet. Review the ship you are sailing before departure rather than assuming an attraction or venue advertised for another Disney ship will be available on yours.
• Book Before Sailing: Many premium or limited-capacity experiences can be reserved before the cruise once your booking window opens. Availability is best when you reserve priority activities early.
• Booking Window: First-time guests generally begin booking eligible activities 75 days before sailing, while Castaway Club and Concierge guests may receive earlier access.
• What Can Be Reserved: Depending on your cruise, advance reservations may include Port Adventures, adult and premium dining, spa treatments, nursery time, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, beverage experiences, and other activities.
• Future Cruise Placeholder: While onboard, guests may currently make a refundable $250 Placeholder Reservation per stateroom for an eligible future Disney cruise. The eligible future sailing must begin within 24 months, and current terms provide a discount on qualifying future bookings with restrictions and blackout dates. The current discount is 10% off eligible voyage fare.
• Placeholder Restrictions: The onboard future-cruise offer is subject to eligibility rules, fare-category exclusions, booking restrictions, and other terms. Review the current conditions before purchasing rather than assuming every future sailing or stateroom category qualifies.

Castaway Club

• Disney's Loyalty Program: Castaway Club membership begins after completing your first eligible Disney Cruise Line sailing. Membership is based primarily on the number of eligible Disney cruises completed.
• Membership Levels: Silver begins after 1 completed cruise, Gold after 5, Platinum after 10, and Pearl after 25.
• Advance Activity Booking: First-time Disney cruisers may begin reserving eligible cruise activities 75 days before sailing. Booking opens 90 days before sailing for Silver members, 105 days for Gold, 120 days for Platinum, and 123 days for Pearl members.
• Concierge Booking: Concierge guests may request eligible onboard activities through Shoreside Concierge Services beginning 130 days before sailing. Online booking for Concierge guests generally opens 123 days before sailing.
• New Itinerary Access: Castaway Club members receive advance access when Disney releases new itineraries, beginning at least 1 day before the general public for Silver, 2 days for Gold, 3 days for Platinum, and 4 days for Pearl.
• Online Check-In: Castaway Club level can also affect when online check-in and Port Arrival Time selection become available. Review your current benefits before each sailing because Disney may change individual benefits. Online check-in currently opens 33 days before sailing for Silver members, 35 days for Gold, 38 days for Platinum, and 40 days for Pearl members. Pearl members also currently receive automatic Boarding Group 2.
• Additional Benefits: Depending on membership level, benefits may include a dedicated terminal check-in line where available, a welcome-back gift, discounts, special receptions, complimentary premium dining for Platinum and Pearl members, and a complimentary Unlimited Digital Photo Package for Pearl members.

Navigator App

• Primary Cruise Tool: The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App is Disney's primary digital planning tool before and during your cruise. Download it before leaving home and sign in using the MyDisney account associated with your reservation.
• Before Your Cruise: The app can be used to make payments, review reservation information, complete online check-in, manage dining seating, arrange eligible ground transportation, submit special dietary requests, and book available cruise activities.
• Reservations: Eligible Port Adventures, premium dining, spa and salon treatments, nursery appointments, and other activities can be viewed and booked through the app or your Disney Cruise Line reservation once your booking window opens.
• Onboard Schedule: Once onboard, the app provides the daily activity schedule, character appearances, deck parties, movies, live shows, youth activities, spa offerings, recreation, ports of call, and other current voyage information.
• Personal Planner: Favorite activities and booked reservations can be collected into your personal schedule, making it easier to organize each day.
• Dining Information: Your Rotational Dining restaurant, dining time, and table number are available through the app along with other dining information.
• Deck Plans: Interactive ship information and deck plans help locate restaurants, theaters, youth clubs, pools, lounges, and other venues.
• Onboard Chat: Guests can message friends and family through the app while connected to the ship's Wi-Fi without purchasing an internet package.
• Internet Not Required: Accessing Disney Cruise Line onboard app functions does not require the purchase of an internet package. Connect your device to the ship's Wi-Fi network to use the onboard features.
• Check Again Onboard: If an activity is unavailable before sailing, check the Navigator App after boarding. Additional inventory, cancellations, and onboard reservation opportunities may become available.
• Daily Planning: Entertainment, character appearances, family activities, youth programming, trivia, deck events, and other complimentary activities are added to the daily schedule in the Navigator App and do not all require advance reservations.

Tipping / Gratuities

• Recommended Gratuities: Disney Cruise Line currently recommends gratuities of $16.00 per person, per night for guests in standard accommodations, including infants and children.
• Concierge Guests: The current recommended amount for guests staying in Concierge Staterooms and Suites is $27.25 per person, per night.
• Who Receives Them: Standard prepaid gratuities are distributed among your dining room server, assistant server, head server, and stateroom host. Concierge gratuities also account for additional Concierge service positions.
• Prepay or Pay Onboard: Gratuities may be prepaid before sailing or charged to your onboard account. Contact Guest Services onboard if an adjustment is necessary before your account is finalized.
• Additional Service Charges: Some purchases and services, including alcoholic beverages, specialty beverages, spa and salon services, and premium dining, may have an automatic service charge added separately.
• Additional Recognition: Guests may provide additional gratuities when they wish to recognize exceptional service, but additional tipping beyond applicable charges is optional.

Embarking

• Online Check-In: Complete online check-in when your eligibility window opens. You'll provide required travel information and complete the steps needed before arriving at the terminal.
• Port Arrival Time: When applicable, select a Port Arrival Time during online check-in and arrive during your assigned window rather than substantially earlier.
• Boarding Documents: Keep required identification and boarding documents readily accessible in your carry-on luggage rather than placing them in checked bags.
• Carry-On Essentials: Bring medications, valuables, electronics, swimwear, sunscreen, and anything you may need during the first several hours because your checked luggage may not immediately reach your stateroom.
• Lunch After Boarding: Dining venues generally open for embarkation-day lunch, giving you an opportunity to eat and explore while waiting for staterooms to become available.
• Explore Early: Embarkation afternoon is a good time to locate your Rotational Dining restaurants, theaters, youth spaces, pools, adult areas, Guest Services, and other venues you'll use throughout the cruise.
• Youth Club Open House: Embarkation day commonly provides opportunities for families to visit youth spaces together during Open House periods before regular secured programming begins.
• Muster Drill: Complete all required safety procedures and pay attention to the location of your assigned assembly station before sailing.

Wi-Fi / Internet Access

• Ship Wi-Fi: Connect to the DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi network once onboard. There is no charge simply to connect when using the Navigator App's onboard features.
• Internet Package: Disney's current standard Internet Package supports common online activities such as web browsing, email, social media, audio and video calling, and short-form social video.
• Streaming Limitations: The standard Internet Package does not support long-form video services such as Disney+, Hulu, or YouTube.
• Internet + Streaming Package: Disney also offers a higher-tier Internet + Streaming Package with faster access and support for full streaming services, including long-form video and audio-streaming platforms.
• Purchase Onboard: Internet packages are purchased after boarding through the Navigator App's “Connect to Internet” option, which opens Disney's onboard internet portal.
• Satellite Limitations: Even with the higher-tier package, speed and reliability can vary because service depends on satellite connectivity, vessel location, network congestion, weather, and other technical factors.
• Cellular At Sea: Cellular service at sea may generate expensive roaming charges depending on your carrier and plan. Keep devices in Airplane Mode with Wi-Fi enabled unless you intentionally intend to use cellular-at-sea service.
• Connection Troubleshooting: Disney advises disabling VPNs and certain private-address or IP-tracking features if they interfere with connecting to the onboard network.

Cabin

• Family-Focused Design: Disney staterooms are designed with family travel in mind and generally provide useful storage, flexible sleeping arrangements, a television, safe, hair dryer, and refrigerator or beverage cooler. Exact features vary by ship and stateroom category.
• Split Bathrooms: Many Disney staterooms feature the line's signature split-bath arrangement, separating portions of the bathroom so more than one guest can get ready at the same time.
• Storage: Unpack and store suitcases beneath the bed when space allows. Closets, drawers, shelving, and under-bed storage can make a significant difference when several guests share a stateroom.
• Stateroom Host: Your stateroom host services the room and can assist with many routine cabin needs during the voyage.
• Room Service: Most standard room-service food is included in the cruise fare, while alcoholic beverages, certain specialty items, and other purchases may carry an additional charge. A gratuity for room-service delivery is customary.

• Pools & Water Play: Disney ships offer combinations of family pools, children's splash areas, water attractions, whirlpools, and adult-exclusive outdoor spaces. The exact lineup varies substantially by ship.
• Water Attractions: Some ships feature major Disney water attractions, but these are ship-specific. Check your vessel before sailing rather than assuming an attraction seen in Disney advertising is available fleetwide.
• Small Children: Health regulations restrict diapered and non-toilet-trained children from standard swimming pools. Designated splash or water-play areas may be available for younger children depending on the ship.
• Sports & Recreation: Depending on the ship, outdoor recreation may include sports courts, miniature golf, walking or jogging areas, games, and other family activities.
• Deck Entertainment: Sailaway celebrations, character appearances, themed deck events, and other outdoor entertainment are scheduled throughout many voyages.
• Check The App: Pool hours, activity schedules, deck events, and attraction availability can change during the voyage. Use the Navigator App for the current schedule.

Dining

• A Major Part of the Experience: Disney combines included main dining, casual dining, quick service, snacks, room service, and optional premium restaurants. Many dining venues are heavily themed and are designed as part of the entertainment experience rather than simply places to eat.
• Dietary Needs: Disney accommodates many common allergies, dietary restrictions, and special meal requirements. Submit eligible dietary requests before sailing and discuss important restrictions with your serving team once onboard.
• Casual Dining: Breakfast and lunch options vary by ship and day and generally include a combination of buffet or food-hall service, quick-service locations, table-service meals, snacks, and room service.
• Menus & Times: Current restaurant assignments, menus, dining times, and other dining information are available through the Navigator App during the cruise.

Rotational Dining Updated

• Disney Signature Dining System: Rotational Dining assigns your party to different themed main restaurants during the cruise while your primary serving team rotates with you.
• Same Serving Team: Keeping the same servers allows them to learn preferences, beverage choices, dietary needs, and other details over the course of the voyage.
• Dining Rotation: Your restaurant schedule is assigned by Disney and appears in the Navigator App once onboard. Longer cruises may include repeat visits to restaurants with different menus or entertainment depending on the itinerary and ship.
• Dining Seating: Most sailings use assigned main-dining seating times. Review or request your preferred seating before sailing, subject to availability.
• Table Number: Your dining time, restaurant, and table number are available in the Navigator App so you do not need to memorize the full rotation before sailing.
• Included: Rotational Dining is included in the cruise fare. Premium beverages and other separately priced items remain additional.
• 2026 Menu Refresh: In May 2026, Disney Cruise Line refreshed Rotational Dining menus aboard Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy, introducing updated menus across their main rotational restaurants.

Adult & Premium Dining

• Premium Restaurants: Disney offers additional-charge premium dining experiences, including adult-exclusive venues on many ships. Restaurant names and concepts vary across the fleet.
• Reserve Early: Premium dining is popular and has limited capacity. Reserve as soon as your eligible activity-booking window opens if it is a priority.
• Age Requirements: Adult-exclusive restaurants have minimum age requirements. Verify the rules for the specific restaurant before reserving.

Dining Dress Guidelines

• Cruise Casual: Most Disney Cruise Line dining venues follow a cruise-casual standard. Shorts, T-shirts, sundresses, jeans, khakis, polos, dresses, skirts, and similar vacation clothing are generally acceptable.
• Not Appropriate: Swimwear and tank tops are not permitted in main dining venues at dinner.
• Theme & Dress-Up Nights: Depending on voyage length and itinerary, Disney may schedule optional dress-up, formal, semi-formal, pirate, or other themed evenings.
• Premium Dining: Some adult and premium restaurants have more specific dress expectations than the main dining rooms. Review the current requirements for your reserved venue.

Food & Beverage

• Included Food: Disney cruise fares include Rotational Dining, many casual and quick-service options, snacks, soft-serve ice cream, and most standard room-service food. Exact venues vary by ship.
• Included Beverages: Fountain soft drinks at designated beverage stations and during main dining, along with coffee, tea, milk, and select nonalcoholic beverages, are generally included.
• Separately Priced Drinks: Alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees, packaged beverages, smoothies, and other premium drinks are typically additional.
• No Traditional Unlimited Alcohol Package: Disney does not operate the same type of unlimited alcoholic beverage package common on many other major cruise lines. Guests generally purchase alcoholic beverages individually or through available specialty offers.
• Reusable Bottles: Bringing a reusable water bottle can be convenient, particularly for pool decks and port days. Follow posted sanitation rules when filling bottles at beverage stations.

Alcohol Policy

• Bringing Alcohol Onboard: Disney's current policy allows guests of legal drinking age to bring a limited quantity of wine, sparkling wine, or beer at embarkation. The allowance and legal drinking age can differ for certain international sailings, so review the current policy for your departure before packing alcohol.
• U.S.-Based Sailings: Disney's current general guidance permits guests age 21 and older to bring either one unopened bottle of wine or sparkling wine no larger than 750 ml, or up to six beers no larger than 12 ounces, at the beginning of the voyage.
• Carry-On Only: Permitted alcohol must remain in its original unopened container and be packed in carry-on luggage. Alcohol placed in checked luggage may be removed.
• Corkage: A $20 corkage fee currently applies when personally brought wine or sparkling wine is consumed in a dining room.
• Public Areas: Alcohol brought aboard by guests may not be consumed in onboard lounges or other public areas.
• Port Purchases: Alcohol purchased in ports of call is generally collected and stored by Disney until the end of the voyage.

Private Destinations

• Disney Castaway Cay: Disney's private island destination in The Bahamas features family beaches, an adults-only Serenity Bay area, recreation, character experiences, optional Port Adventures, and other activities exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests.
• Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point: Located on Eleuthera in The Bahamas, Lookout Cay combines beaches and Disney experiences with an emphasis on Bahamian culture, art, music, and storytelling.
• Included Beach Day: Both destinations include beach access, lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, barbecue-style dining, soft-serve ice cream, and nonalcoholic beverage stations with the cruise fare.
• Adults-Only Areas: Serenity Bay provides a dedicated adults-only beach area at both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay.

• Disney Movies: Ships screen Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and other Disney-owned films, including select current theatrical releases. Movie schedules are listed in the Navigator App.
• Deck Parties: Many cruises feature large-scale deck celebrations, character performances, music, dancing, and themed entertainment.
• Pirate Night: Pirate-themed entertainment is offered on select itineraries and may include themed dining touches, character costumes, deck entertainment, and other activities. The exact format varies by sailing and ship.
• Fireworks At Sea: Select Disney sailings include fireworks as part of scheduled nighttime entertainment, subject to itinerary, operational conditions, and local restrictions.

• Disney Oceaneer Club: Disney's Oceaneer Club provides immersive supervised programming for children ages 3 to 10, with themed spaces, games, activities, storytelling, and other Disney experiences that vary by ship.
• Disney Oceaneer Lab: Where offered, Oceaneer Lab provides additional creative, interactive, and exploratory activities for the same 3-to-10 age group.
• Toilet-Training Requirement: Children participating in secured Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab programming must be fully toilet-trained and meet Disney's participation requirements.
• Open House: During scheduled Youth Activities Open House periods, guests of all ages may visit participating youth spaces together. This provides an opportunity for parents, younger siblings, and children outside the normal age range to explore the clubs.

• Navigator Messaging: Onboard chat and Disney Cruise Line Navigator App functionality can be used over the ship's Wi-Fi without purchasing an internet package.

Disembarking

• Review Instructions: Disney provides departure information near the end of the cruise. Review the instructions in the Navigator App and any materials delivered to your stateroom.
• Express Departure: Guests who can carry all of their own luggage may be able to leave during the early self-assist departure period after the ship is cleared by local authorities.
• Checked Luggage: For standard departure, place properly tagged luggage outside your stateroom at the designated time on the final evening. Keep travel documents, medication, valuables, electronics, clothing for the morning, and anything needed overnight with you.
• Breakfast: Breakfast is available on the final morning, with procedures and locations depending on the ship and dining assignment.
• Onboard Account: Review your account before leaving the ship and address any discrepancies while Guest Services can still assist.
• Final Cabin Check: Check the safe, closets, drawers, charging outlets, bathroom, and under the bed before leaving. Passports, medications, chargers, and small electronics are especially easy to overlook.
• Customs & Immigration: Entry procedures vary by terminal, citizenship, and itinerary. Some U.S. terminals use facial-recognition processing for eligible travelers, while others require traditional document inspection.
• Transportation: Allow sufficient time between disembarkation and flights or other transportation. Delays can occur because of port operations, immigration processing, weather, or late ship arrival.
