Dont choose a cabin with a bowling alley over your head.

Always surprised to hear people whining about their room when they have booked a
cabin with the dining room under them, or a lounge over their head.

" WE CALLED THE DESK AND ASKED THEM TO TURN DOWN THE MUSIC IN THE DISCO"

Totally lame.

There are DECK PLAN maps available that show you whats above and below the cabins you're choosing.
Research is your friend!

If your booking late, and can't get a decent cabin, thats your problem!

I go for that deck that only has passenger cabins above and below.
Then you are merely at the mercy of the family of five up there running around.
But you can hammer on their door and tell em' to SHUT UP!

An elevator around the corner is also convenient.
Especially when you are staggering around!

And take note of where the friggin' lifeboats are!!
Not so you can escape quicker, but so you know when your going to have an obstructed view!

Yes, I noticed nobody had posted anything in this section. Gotta start somewhere! ;)

We like being close to the elevators. It's good to step out of the room and into an elevator without having to walk the long hallways of staterooms. I also choose the part of the boat we spend a lot of time on, so on Carnival that means staying near the forward elevators to get to the Serenity deck quickly.
