I saw a video on youtube. You can purchase hard liquor from Carnival and have it brought to your room. Is there any validity to this? If so, how do you do it?

Yes, it is true. It is not available on all Carnival ships, but all ships do allow you to pre-order liquor prior to sailing and have it waiting in your room. (There are a few exceptions, see details linked below.)
