Bahama adding new tax to booked cruises

I just heard that if you are booked on a cruise going to the Bahamas the cruise lines are updating your charges to include this tax. I will be on the Oasis in September 2023 which stops in Nassau. The cruise is already paid in full. I haven't received an email with any additional charges yet, Does anyone have more details on this?

The higher Bahama taxes have been deferred until at least January 1, 2024. Mostly due to cruise industry pushback. You will not be affected in anyway on your cruise in September 2023.

Cruises that are already booked to the Bahamas for 2024 and beyond, the cruise line will most likely cover the increased cost. Even if/when the increased Bahama port tax goes into affect the cost increase is only expected to be approximately $5 USD per person per Bahama port stop. Which is pretty insignificant when comparing it to the overcall cost of any cruise.
